How do inland aquariums deal with the problems of acquiring and disposing of salt water? On such a large scale you really can't just "dump it down the drain" can you?

Most inland aquariums local wast water authorities allow them to dump straight into the sanitary sewer. Some of them ask that the water is chlorinated prior. There is also desalination sytems that will purify the water and remove the salt up to 264,000 gallons per day. 300- 500 gallons a day would be plenty for us.

We have to get approval from the sewer district to do that most aquariums do that already. If not we just desalinate it and throw it away.
